The Council a Geoscience (CGS) herewith invites university students and Grade 12 learners to apply for a full-time CGS bursary. The objective of the CGS bursary is to create, enhance and support expertise in the geosciences and related technical fields.

The Sasol Foundation Bursary who are planning to study full-time towards an undergraduate degree to pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) careers. Priority will be given to degree studies that are in line with future needs including specialisations in study disciplines such as Engineering & Technology (including Green Technology), Data Science, Agricultural Science, Environmental & Medical Sciences, Construction & Manufacturing, and Financial Sciences among others.

The SAGW offers bursaries for students registering or registered to study a B.Sc in Surveying /Geomatics, B.Tech Surveying / Mine Surveying / Geomatics, or Diploma in Surveying / Mine Surveying or GIS. All qualified Professional Surveyors, Technologist Surveyors, Technician Surveyors and GISc Practitioners have to be registered with the Council.

South Deep Education Trust bursaries are focused on creating educational opportunities for youth in Westonaria, where the company’s South Deep mine is based. This Grant is open to Historically Disadvantaged Individuals from low-income households in the communities surrounding the South Deep Mine and/or the Labour Sending Areas. The Grant is open to students in their first three years of tertiary study (unless the trustees deem a particular case exceptional and decide in their discretion to award an Educational Grant to a post-graduate student.
