The African Scholars’ Fund supports scholars who are registered for Business and Engineering studies at Public TVET Colleges. Students wishing to attend Public TVET colleges in the following areas: Free State, Western, Eastern and Northern Cape. These courses are shorter, less expensive and very effective in leading to employment. The African Scholars’ Fund supports scholars who are registered for Business and Engineering studies at Public TVET Colleges. Bursaries are offered for full-time studies only. Should your application be successful, we will pay your registration and full course fees.

Experienced artisans can convert to technicians, taking two academic subjects per semester (24 in total), over 6 years.

The MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology) offers scholarships to foreign students who wish to study at Japanese universities under the Japanese Government Scholarship Program. The MEXT Scholarship scholarship is for research students, undergraduate students, specialized training college students as well as for teacher training.

The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) is the authority in charge of promoting, regulating and enforcing civil aviation safety and security. Applications for the SACAA brusary are open for the following fields of study: Pilot Training, Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. South Deep Education Trust bursaries are focused on creating educational opportunities for youth in Westonaria, where the company’s South Deep mine is based. All applications should be emailed to, admin@sdeducationtrust.co.za as one attachement. This Grant is open to Historically Disadvantaged Individuals from low-income households in the communities surrounding the South Deep Mine and/or the Labour Sending Areas. The Grant is open to students in their first three years of tertiary study (unless the trustees deem a particular case exceptional and decide in their discretion to award an Educational Grant to a post-graduate student.

Mercedes-Benz apprenticeship programs span between 3 to 4 years. They are designed for learners with an interest in a technical career. Most applicants will have attended a technical high school or would have studied maths and technical subjects at an academic school or TVET college. Mercedes-Benz offer two streams of apprenticeship. The first is automotive related, where learners choose between an Automotive Electrician and Motor Mechanic. The second is more plant and equipment oriented, where trade options include Millwright, Electrician or Fitter and Turner. These learners would typically be seeking a career as an artisan maintaining complex machinery in a production facility or mechanised plant. The Mercedes-Benz Learning Academy is both an accredited training provider and trade test centre. Accordingly, learners are offered concentrated theory and practical exposure. This includes plant and work-place rotations right through to their final qualification in their trade of choice.
