Impala Platinum Holdings Limited (Implats) is in the business of mining, refining and marketing of platinum group metals (PGMs), as well as nickel, copper and cobalt. Implats offers a number of bursaries in the following fields of study: Engineering Mining Metallurgy Chemical Mechanical Electrical (heavy current) Chemistry to honours level Geology to honours level Accounting to honours level Surveyinf Human Resources BCom to honours level.

The National Housing Finance Corporation (NHFC) is a development finance institution that funds and facilitates the development of affordable housing for the benefit of the low- and middle-income South African households. The NHFC has a tertiary bursary fund to help bolster capacity, expertise and work opportunities related to the housing finance sector. Tertiary students, from second year and postgraduate study levelsare invited to submit applications for consideration for the NHFC Bursary Fund.

The SAGW offers bursaries for students registering or registered to study a B.Sc in Surveying /Geomatics, B.Tech Surveying / Mine Surveying / Geomatics, or Diploma in Surveying / Mine Surveying or GIS. All qualified Professional Surveyors, Technologist Surveyors, Technician Surveyors and GISc Practitioners have to be registered with the Council.

The SAGI is a voluntary organization for registered persons working in land surveying, engineering surveying, town planning, photogrammetry, remote sensing, geographical information systems (GIS) & land management. The SAGI offers various bursaries for students to study at University or Universities of Technology studying towards Professional Land Surveyor or Engineering Surveyor, also diploma or degree is Geospatial Information Science. South Deep Education Trust bursaries are focused on creating educational opportunities for youth in Westonaria, where the company’s South Deep mine is based. All applications should be emailed to, admin@sdeducationtrust.co.za as one attachement. This Grant is open to Historically Disadvantaged Individuals from low-income households in the communities surrounding the South Deep Mine and/or the Labour Sending Areas. The Grant is open to students in their first three years of tertiary study (unless the trustees deem a particular case exceptional and decide in their discretion to award an Educational Grant to a post-graduate student.
