African Scholars' Fund (3rd Trimester TVET College) - African Scholars Fund

The African Scholars’ Fund supports scholars who are registered for Business and Engineering studies at Public TVET Colleges. Students wishing to attend Public TVET colleges in the following areas: Free State, Western, Eastern and Northern Cape. These courses are shorter, less expensive and very effective in leading to employment. The African Scholars’ Fund supports scholars who are registered for Business and Engineering studies at Public TVET Colleges. Bursaries are offered for full-time studies only. Should your application be successful, we will pay your registration and full course fees.

NSFAS Bursary - NSFAS

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) provides loans and gives various NSFAS bursaries to students at all 25 of our public universities, as well as the 50 public TVET colleges. Instead of having to repay the monetary value as with loans, bursars who apply for a NSFAS bursary will enter into a contract to work in a specific sector in South Africa for a specified amount of time after their graduation.

This bursary funding is aimed at addressing the scarce and critical skills within the transport industry. The bursary award targets previously disadvantaged and impoverished youth from rural and urban communities within South Africa, females and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Mercedes-Benz South Africa - Apprenticeship Training - Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz apprenticeship programs span between 3 to 4 years. They are designed for learners with an interest in a technical career. Most applicants will have attended a technical high school or would have studied maths and technical subjects at an academic school or TVET college. Mercedes-Benz offer two streams of apprenticeship. The first is automotive related, where learners choose between an Automotive Electrician and Motor Mechanic. The second is more plant and equipment oriented, where trade options include Millwright, Electrician or Fitter and Turner. The Mercedes-Benz Learning Academy is both an accredited training provider and trade test centre. Accordingly, learners are offered concentrated theory and practical exposure. This includes plant and work-place rotations right through to their final qualification in their trade of choice.
