Globeleq South Africa is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Globeleq, an experienced international operating power company, and power industry leader in the emerging markets. Established in 2002, Globeleq actively develops energy projects in Africa by developing the electric power sectors in these regions. This focus stream is being offered nationally through institutions offering mechatronic or electrical engineering, namely:

4. Cape Peninsula University of Technology
5. Central University of Technology
6. Durban University of Technology
7. Mangosuthu University of Technology
8. Tshwane University of Technology

Bursary Fields
Engineering
Who Can Apply
The GSF Engineering is open to students who:
1. Are South African citizens
2. Are studying mechatronic or electrical engineering
3. Are studying a National Diploma or Bachelor's in Technology
4. Will be doing their 2nd year or higher in 2019, excluding any bridging courses or extended programmes
5. Have an interest in renewable energy

Value
The amount of the Scholarship is not fixed, but instead takes each student's needs into account, together with the Scholarship budget.
The scholarship covers a variable amount, depending on what each student's registration fees are, for the follwoing:
• Course Fees
• Registration Fees
and a fixed amount, based on the average cost across all institutions participating in the GSF and the type of studies, for the following:
• Accommodation and meal costs
• Books and other learning materials
• Living expenses
