Aircraft Trimmer

An Aircraft Trimmer is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of interior aircraft components. They work on aircraft cabins, cockpit areas, and other interior spaces. The job involves reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams to perform the job accurately.


Tasks:

  • Install, repair and maintain interior aircraft components, such as seats, carpets, curtains, and upholstery.
  • Work with a variety of materials, including leather, synthetic fabrics, and foam.
  • Measure and cut materials to fit specific aircraft components.
  • Use hand tools, such as scissors, sewing machines, and staple guns, to complete the work.
  • Collaborate with other aviation professionals, such as engineers and mechanics, to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide them with high-quality service.
  • Inspect and test completed work to ensure it meets industry standards and specifications.
