Airport Planner

An Airport Planner is responsible for designing, planning, and developing airport facilities and infrastructure to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of passengers, cargo, and aircraft. They work closely with airport managers, architects, engineers, and government agencies to ensure that airports meet local and international regulations and standards. They also assess and anticipate future demand for airport services and develop plans for expansion and improvement.


Tasks:

  • Develop airport master plans and design layouts for airport facilities and infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with airport management, architects, and engineers to plan and design new projects and upgrades.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Monitor and analyse airport traffic trends and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Coordinate with airlines, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth airport operations.
