Bus Hostess

A Bus Hostess is responsible for ensuring that passengers on a bus have a comfortable and pleasant journey. They are responsible for providing excellent customer service, serving food and drinks, and answering passenger queries.


Tasks:

  • Greet passengers as they board the bus and assist with their luggage.
  • Explain the safety procedures and emergency protocols to passengers.
  • Serve food and drinks during the journey.
  • Answer passenger queries and provide information about the journey, destination, and amenities on the bus.
  • Ensure that the bus is clean and tidy, including the washrooms.
  • Provide first aid assistance if required.
  • Handle passenger complaints or issues and escalate to the bus driver if necessary.

While no formal qualifications are required, a National Senior Certificate (Matric), fluency in English and other languages, and good physical health are desirable.
