Commercial Pilot

How to Enter

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent.
  • Valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA).
  • Instrument Rating (IR) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
  • Minimum flying experience, usually ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 hours.
  • Medical certificate issued by an authorized aviation medical examiner.
  • Proficient in English, as it is the primary language of aviation communication.
  • Completion of ground school training and written exams.
  • Continuous learning and maintenance of pilot certifications.
