Email Marketing Manager

An Email Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and executing email marketing campaigns, driving customer acquisition and retention, and improving email campaign performance. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, such as creative, content, and data analytics teams, to ensure that email campaigns align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.


Tasks:

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, promotional emails, and transactional emails.
  • Create email lists and segments based on customer behaviour and preferences.
  • Manage email automation and triggered campaigns, such as welcome emails and abandoned cart emails.
  • Monitor email campaign performance and conduct A/B testing to optimise open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
  • Ensure that email campaigns comply with local regulations, such as POPIA and GDPR.
  • Analyse email campaign data to identify opportunities for improvement and report on campaign performance to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop email content, including copy and creative assets.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in email marketing.

Skills:

  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms, such as Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor.
  • Understanding of email marketing best practices, including list management, segmentation, and personalisation.

  • Experience with A/B testing and optimization.
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
