Ships Engineering Officer

A Ship's Engineering Officer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a ship's mechanical, electrical and electronic systems. They supervise the engineering team, oversee maintenance and repair work, and ensure compliance with regulations and safety procedures.


Tasks:

  • Manage and supervise the ship's engineering team.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance and repair work on the ship's machinery, electrical and electronic systems.
  • Monitor fuel consumption and engine performance and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and safety procedures.
  • Manage spare parts and inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the ship's machinery and equipment.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records of all engineering operations.
