Bursaries By Study Field : Music

Awarded annually to gifted music students.

For postgraduate study in the performing Arts, Ballet, Speech and Drama, Music and Fine Art. Candidates will be selected on academic merit, qualities of character, motivation and field of study.

Since 1981, SAMRO has offered a number of bursaries for music students. These Bursaries constitute the most substantial awards in music study in South Africa and are open to citizens of all the countries within SAMRO’s territory of operation: South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland.

The SASMT administers the following bursaries and scholarships for music study in South Africa: David Reunert Bursary (R1500) Ellie Marx Memorial Scholarship for String Instruments (R5000) Gladwell Scholarship (R12000) Kathleen Irish Scholarship (R10000)
